Exit Slip: The Vow
The mood of my book is loving because Krickitt and Kim are in love and that is how the characters are to each other. When they were in a car accident other prayed for them and they were loving. "Those people called others, who called others, and by the end of the day people as far away as Russia were praying for Krickitt" (Carpenter, 60). This shows that others showed love towards Krickitt. The tone of my book is hopeful. I know this because all the characters are hopeful that Krickitt and Kim make it through this struggle. "Because Krickitt had lived this long already, the doctors were actually beginning to think she might survive after all, despite so much evidence to the contrary" (Carpenter, 59). This says that everyone is hopeful that Krickitt will live. A moment when Kim and Krickitt swayed the belief of the doctors was when they started getting better and the doctors didn't believe it. The doctors thought they were not going to make it. Kim's tone impacted their persuasiveness by being constantly hopeful and praying and saying that she is going to make it.
